    Its a few reasons, someone mentioned internet and that is big. Another factor is ratings. There are very few household name guys today. Another factor is the reduced budget from people cutting HBO/cable and getting netflix.

      I think the fact that they weren't investing in it anymore is what ultimately caused the events that killed it but Bob leaving was probably the specific event that triggered the end.

        Once people start running out of 1-month free ESPN+ and DAZN I wonder if the landscape will change at all.

            It started as a slow trickle. Little by little they committed less to boxing. Preferring to invest in original tv series and documentaries. I would say Top Rank amd Manny leaving was the nail in the coffin.

              Wasn't Matchroon USA supposed to be on HBO. He basically took his roster to the upstart DAZN.

                They couldn't get along with Haymon or Toprank hell even Oscar didn't like dealing with HBO honestly they thought they were bigger than the sport that was HBO downfall
