For all we know, Nelson was put in charge specifically to bring HBO's boxing content to an end and find a new direction for HBO Sports. It is what it is.

i think showtime may eventually catch up to them....showtime has some good shows and docs too
I wrote HBO an email telling them I was cancelling due to them dropping HBO. They sent me a pretentious reply. They basically said that now HBO is above boxing and they see boxing as below HBO's new standards. A kind of elitist attitude as they cited HBO's new direction which includes doing documentary's on surfing and golf!

Yeah a new direction on sports which includes a documentary on "a legendary crew of young surfers that would take the sport to unprecedented heights" plus 24/7 episodes on *****ing golf! This came from an HBO reply to an email I sent them telling them I am cancelling HBO because they are dropping boxing.

HBO will be putting their boxing money into bisexual men fighting and getting their heads bashed in on game of thrones fight scenes and such.
