Comments Thread For: Badou Jack Discusses Benavidez vs. Dirrell and Wilder vs. Fury

Badou Jack became a two-division champion when he stopped Nathan Cleverly last August on the the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor pay-per-view undercard. The promotion became the second highest grossing event of all time just behind the highly anticipated Mayweather versus Manny Pacquiao showdown.

"Fury can win but Wilder can win too."
    Very insightful. Thx Jack!

How old is this interview? Potential Wilder-Fury fight targeted for November or December?
David Benavidez who was in trouble last week?

What needs to be discussed is why he Jack didn't get the immediate rematch against Stevenson...

I like Jack, but I don't think he moved up in weight for a lark. The only reason I see him making the incredible sacrifices to make 168 is the quality of the belt holders a 175 right now.

He's already avoided Bivol, couldn't starch Stevenson, so he's looking for the softest route to a title int there ain't one a Light heavy.

If I were Jack I'd line up a fight with fringe contender Joe Smith Jr, until the dust settles on the title bouts and he can try and push for a fight with the softest option. Problem is, there isn't one.

The only two options conceivable are Beterbiev who has been distracted and out of the ring for a while, or if somehow Kovalev pulls an unlikely upset against Alvarez, that might be an option.

I regard Jack highly and believe on a good day he's one of the top 5 175 pounders out there.
