The only thing missing from the first season was a round 1 upset.

If Groves and Smith are both in top form on fight-night this will be a cracker, both men have a tendency to under-perform at times though.

Smith beats Groves either by late round stoppage or wide on points. Groves has had the tougher career so far and although he’s been good if late Smith is just to good all round.

I think it will be hard to maintain the quality, but the WBSS should be fine as long as there is at least one world title in the field...... the exposure given to all the best contenders in the division and guys outside the mandatory positions will be very high. It also gives young guys a chance who might be avoided by champions. As Callum Smith proved, you can wait a long time for a title shot for one of these orgs, mostly over a year, so the WBSS gives you 3 fights in 1 year and a chance of a title or making you attractive to fight if you win. As long as they get most guys in the top 10 it will always be competitive and worth watching.
