    Comments Thread For: Jorge Linares Would Love Jose Ramirez or Mikey Garcia Next

    Former three-division world champion Jorge Linares (44-4, 27 KOs) is hunting for more gold - this time at the junior welterweight limit of 140-pounds. Linares make his debut at the new weight class on Saturday night, when he faces Abner "Pin" Cotto (23-3, 12 KOs) in the main event of the Sept. 29 edition of Golden Boy Fight Night on Facebook Watch.

    Mickey and Jose are teammates at RGB club but very different despite their similar upbringings : Jose Ramirez already fought Lomachenko in the world amateur championships in 2011 and defended his title against a dangerous opponent in top ten undefeated Antonio Orozco at 140 ;

    in contrast Mickey vacated lightweight when Lomachenko was rumored to be entering his division and dropped his IBF 140 pound title instead of defending it against dangerous undefeated mandatory challenger Ivan Baranchyk.

    So what I'm trying to say is that, there is a possibility that now after Lomachenko KO Linares Mickey might finally step-up and fight Jorge, but I would bank on Jose Ramirez to step up before Garcia -- but its close, the Cherry looks ripe for the picking.

      Linares against either one would be a good fight; he'd be slight favorite against Ramirez but slight underdog against Garcia. I wonder if he's starting to slip though? He looked out of this world against Crolla, had a very close win against Campbell, but was a half-step behind most of the time against Lomachenko. Probably just shows the difference in ability between the 3 opponents though.

        stylistically Ramirez Vs Linares promises to be a very good fight and I think Arum fancies Ramirez chances to beat Linares at 140.

                Sign me up for Linares and Ramirez!! I would like the Garcia fight only to measure what Mikey did compared to Loma other than that I like the Ramirez fight better.

                  Mikey isn't ducking Loma but... it's fairly obvious that Loma's style is all wrong for Mikey and I'm certain Mikey knows that.
