ESPN wanted it on the following week and in NYC because of the Hiesman trophy presentation.

Hopefully his next fight is at The Forum. I think he’ll draw well there.

Staples Center boxing capacity is 21K. Will Wilder-Fury be a sell out?

Of course it will. They would have went with the 12K seater Mandalay Bay in Vegas if they weren't confidant.

If they make the tickets very affordable they might. But I looked it up and Lewis vs Klitschko (which was at Staples Center) did around 16,000 in attendance so maybe not.

Crap, hard to think that was 10 years ago. Time is flying!

As someone said the last fight like this at Staples was Vitali vs Arreola.

I'm not able to find the official gate though - but from being there I remember the lower bowl being filled and the upper section definitely having plenty of people but there were some areas where it was more sparse than others. Maybe like 16-17k?

Arreola was from the area and Vitali basically fought "out of" LA after the Lewis fight so both were more known locally than these two obviously.

This can work if they stack the card like an an old Don King HW card! LSC would have to be on there
