Sulaiman has never blocked a big fight before no matter how long a mandatory was due.

Even in this article he basically said that if the unification is requested then he will grant it.

The only question is: "If requested by whom?"

Who must request it, Spence or Porter?

Or is it both?

The highlighted part makes me nervous! The request has to come from the WBC Champion, which is Shawn Porter! That makes me nervous too!

I repeat, Sulaiman/The WBC has never blocked a big fight from happening.

These are the same guys that denied Charlo his mandatory shot at GGG TWICE in order to make Canelo vs GGG.

These are the same guys that suspended Adonis Stevenson's mandatory obligations indefinitely in order to clear the way for the Kovalev vs Stevenson fight to be made (although it ended up not happening because of the egos of the fighters).

These are the same guys that allowed Mayweather to defend his 154 mandatory against Maidana in a 147 limit fight in order to clear Mayweather's schedule so that the Pac fight can be negotiated and made without any impediments.

Man, there is a long hisory of the WBC making big calls in order to make the fight that is the biggest/most wanted irrespective of the rules or obligations.

I'm telling you, the only way this fight doesn't get ordered is if Porter refused to make the request.

Porter was talking out his ass. In order to know who is more likely to be telling the truth you gotta look at precedence.

Porter has been avoiding Spence the whole time and every time Spence's name came up he tried to avoid a direct answer or out right made excuses and put imaginary roadblocks in the way of the fight happening.

Porter was talking crap bruh WBC aint got no plans that prevent a unification between him and Spence.

He is just doing what he always does when Spence's name comes up.

Spence made it clear he wants Porter next but I think he is leaving the Garcia option open because he knows that Porter will try to find a way to duck him like he has always been and like all the guys at 147 have been.

I think you're reading a bit much into the "plans" statement by Porter. He sounded very unsure of what "plans" the WBC had. I don't see how the WBC passes up higher sanctioning fees for a unification fight for a Berto rematch. Ugas is the 2nd mando and only gets a shot if Berto can't or won't fight Porter.
