He's big enough, but I think he lacks the technique. If old Laura gave him a close fight, I think prime Canelo beats him by decision.
That said, Canelo's stamina sucks and I wouldn't be surprised if Hurd eats his shots and then batters him when he gasses. -
This I would love to see.
Esp. At 160. Hurd would just keep coming forward eating Canelos shots but once he gasses Nelo them uppercuts and big left right check hooks will definately get Nelo on his bike.Comment

Canelo would beat the dog **** off the top of his head. Canelo would land at will and has the power with punch variation to make Hurd look like a bum.Comment

Nothing against Hurd but they dont even visually appear to be in the same league.
Canelo looks so much better than him and if anyone was going to steamrolll Canelo it was GGG. Hurd doesnt hit nearly as hard and hes hitting much smaller men.
At the risk of not giving Hurd enough credit I think Canelo might actually stop him. They look that far apart, Big Hurd fan but Canelo is the WORST style matchup. Good luck finding that target without the pedigree of GGG.
I think Jacobs, GGG, and Canelo put a Shane Mosley-Margarito type of beating on hurd..maybe even an Angulo-Canelo type of out classing. I’m not convinced he’d even beat BJS as he just looks better and can hold that pace for days...Charlo (160) seems like a bad match up too...and hate him if you want but good luck in a firefight with Lemieux as well. Hurd isnt grinding the big strong and powerful lions at 160...he has to show me first before I just believe it.
