If Lemieux has any chance of beating Canelo its either with a Hail Mary punch or grappling with him and wearing him down. I don't mean strictly exchanging punches on the inside. I mean making Canelo work hard to free himself and keep from getting pushed around. Everyone is saying Lemieux is a big solid guy. If so then use his weight advantage and wear Canelo out. The referee will be crucial. Other than that he will get outboxed and beatup. Oh yeah he has to fire to the body even if he conceeds some rounds and gives them away. Lemieux has had stamina issues in the past. If that repeats itself he will surely get knocked out. Can't see any of this happening but to me it gives him a slight chance.

I think he should not fight Lemieux for the reasons you gave. He's a better fighter no doubt but he just went through a grueling fight. They should have saved up O'Sullivan for him as a filler assuming they want to fight
Golovkin again. By the way what kind of insanity prevails at K2 when Golovkin the title holder does not have a rematch clause after the fiasco of the first fight.
