Joe needs updating. The welter division now is STACKED. The only reason we are not getting superfights is because there are too many fkn promoters . Back in the 80's there were Arum and King and some minions.
Atlas needs to stop whining over the "robbery". Just because you don't agree with the decision, doesn't mean it's a robbery.

This. Joe Hogan said there would be no new boxing stars. He is a paccturd/flom0 and only watches Main stream fights like Canelo fights. Coming from the guy that once said "Honda Housey was a once in a life time fighter," and claiming how she threw crisp clean combinations.
Even in the MMA world the guy is considered delusional either that or UFC is paying him alota money to sell fake hype. Leaning more towards the delusional

Donald Cerrone had to put him in his place.

teddy's just so wrong on this one. he kind of makes his own counterargument.

this sport is inherently subjective until it becomes not subjective. we call those fights robberies. there's no "opinion" on who won these fights, we've all seen enough boxing and we have seen these fights, we know what a buttkicking looks like, and we call it a robbery when the decision doesn't go to the dude very obviously who did the kicking.

a robbery must CLEARLY be a robbery.

teddy atlas can't [and doesn't look like he is trying to] look straight into the camera in a sober and unexcited state and make his case for the inarguability of a canelo victory. and that's because it's way too easy to make an argument for canelo winning 7 rounds! way too f#cking easy! he won't do it because he cannot.

atlas is still an employee of ESPN. controversy is one of the only things ESPN still does well. they love that ****. what's good for espn are 5-30 second highlights and clips and quick sound bytes. teddy screaming about a robbery is good for business, and my guess is that it's probably at the very least encouraged that he react the way he did when a close fight [and narrative] doesn't go in the way that it appears the public would have wanted it to go.

it's incredibly obvious what happened in regard to the attitude towards this decision. the public wanted golovkin to win. a part of me wanted him to win, too. he's been ducked by a lot of top earning guys over the years, and because he's on the downside i wanted him to have one last day in the sun. i also thought he still had enough in the tank to be the better man at 36 than a 28 year old alvarez in his prime. i was wrong in that regard. the better man won the fight, and canelo is going to kick golovkin's ass if they fight again. mark my words. golovkin will have no answer at all for canelo's speed in the rubber match. whatever he had left will be further depleted, and stylistically / tactically he will have been figured out.

rematches typically do not favor punchers unless he scored a knockout or is just a better fighter. styles make fights. once a fighter adjusts to a puncher's timing and power he's typically at a stylistic advantage and he brings an improved gameplan. punchers still plan to knock you out or break you down, it's in their blood, a function of their confidence, and what they've been successful in doing.

Teddy atlas is terrible. He scored the first fight 118-110 for GGG and the 2nd fight 117-111 for GGG.

He's just as bad as Adelaide Byrd and doesnt realize it
