Anthony Joshua showed impressive movement against Alexander Povetkin.

    I was very impressed!

He is still hittable, but his movement against Povetkin was much improved. He also showed he's got a very good chin. I think if he'd used the same tactics against Joseph Parker he'd have knocked him out.

I think AJ showed that he was feeling a lot of pressure early on, but he also showed a different side to his game once he got comfortable. He even started dropping his hands and riding shots a lot more...

To be honest it's the most unrobotic I've ever seen AJ. I was beginning to think he'd peaked a few fights ago and he's just a big stiff idiot with serious limitations. After Saturday I think he is indeed still learning and has potential to become a more complete fighter.

Eddie Hearn obviously has an agenda and is protective of AJ. But AJ himself is a beast and definately the top dog now. He is putting together a fearsome resume.

Have a nice day folks, and try not to hate too much.

I was really impress with the whole fight from AJ, he fought in a way that i didn't think he could. Everyone knows my opinion of him, i always thought he was a robot and too static/basic. But he actually "Box" against povetkin, something i didn't think he could do.

When he claimed he "Box" against Parker i kinda laughed but he actually did against pov, he fought in a more mature way than what i have seen of him previously. And the finish reminds me of Kelly Pavlik.

Disagree, I thought he was quite sloppy movement wise, Povetkin was catching up to him and catching with hooks and uppercuts often.

He did show his chin isnt as bad as people say because he got caught with some solid shots and for the most part took them well.

Not sure why he didn't try to utilize his jab more though (I know Povetkin was trying to time and and throw overhand shots as counters) but still Joshua has a considerable reach advantage and could have effected Povetkin's timing with a solid jab.

I think if you overrate Joshua then you wouldn't be impress with him in that fight, If you don't rate him as much (Which myself and a lot of british people do) then you would be impress with his performance in the Pov fight.

Joshua movement was great and seemed reallly comfortable boxing on the backfoot and taking the steam out of povetkin.
He picked his shots and gradually took over and when the moment was right he finsihed him clinically.
I must add this an ex olympic champion and world champion who has never been stopped and only lost 1 fight in his career, who is techically very sound and very dangerous puncher.
Great performance for AJ no doubt about that.

I was impressed with how he dealt with a different style in Povetkin and adapted during the fight. I had him losing the first 5 rounds due to missed punches and falling short (effective defence for Povetkin)

Joshua actually dropped his hands and was willing Povetkin to come at him, so he could counter.... that's what brought the finish.

Joshua is obviously still learning by the way he talks and the way people speak about him, his fanboys on here have been saying he's the GOAT for 2 years, which is just nonsense..... in reality he is getting better and better every fight... he's showed me something different in his last 5 fights. Joshua will be near unbeatable in two years.

Thought he looked stiff and sloppy but he got the job done and rode out the early storm.

well vinny I have never said Joshua is the GOAT even two years ago and have real ding dongs with silly juggernaut about this.
What I have said in the last two years is Joshua beats them all and it's a journey.
Would lewis beat him I would say yes at this time but in another year not so not sure.
Would Joshua beat fury and wilder ? yes 100% and I have said that consistently and it's still ongoing.

GayJ was getting his ass kicked, his legs buckled often during the fight when Povetkin hit him clean ; GayJ's defense is atrocious! How can anyone say anything good about his movement when he barely managed to stay on his feet?!

Joshua's youth and strength with a 30+ pound advantage and dirty tactics was the difference.
