Did Wlad do better against Povetkin?

Paulie said in post fight interviews that Wlad beat Povetkin easily and dropped him 4 times and Povetkin gave AJ trouble. Im not even a AJ fan in fact i think Wilder might beat him but their seems to be some revisionist history. I had 3-3 going into the 7th, tough fight but Wlad vs Povetkin was one of the most disgraceful fights i ever seen. So much clinching and holding. Wlad was uncomfortable with Povetkin going inside and some of the KO's was bull***** Wlad pushed Povetkin down and ref was atrocious in that fight.

Can't compare because AJ boxed him but Wlad just smothered him.
That said, I was really disappointed in Wlad because I don't think he needed to do that. I think he could have boxed the shyt out of Povetkin.

Fight was like 7 years apart as well. I dont see the relevance of comparing that fight. Both beat him period

Although AP was more prime when fought Wlad...it was unwatchable MMA stuff. Holding, pushing down, etc.

Never have I been more certain previous HW champs would've merc'd Wlad.
