Comments Thread For: Arum Very Interested in Bringing Canelo and Golovkin To ESPN

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is going to throw his hat in the race to secure the services of middleweight free agents Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin. Last Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Canelo (50-1-2, 34 KOs) won a twelve round majority decision over Gennady Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KOs) to capture the WBC, WBA middleweight titles. The judge saw it 114-114, 115-113, 115-113.

Bob Arum wants Peter Nelson to have nightmares for the rest of his life.

One thing I will get Arum credit for is he is still relevant and Don King isn’t anymore. Only in America Don, once a crook, always a crook-LOL!!!

I prefer they go to Showtime. ESPN is ESPN, and it still seems hardly better than Friday Night Fight's production value. Showtime & Haymon's stable are a better option for GGG & Canelo. Plus I hate Disney.

Arum didn't lure anybody away LOL
HBO has just become disinterested in boxing.

It would probably be the best move for boxing if Canelo vs GGG III happened on ESPN or via some ESPN PPV or ESPN+ is more likely I suppose. ESPN gives solid coverage of the big fights, but I imagine when they got the parties on their product their coverage would be even better & more indepth to the masses which again I think is the best move for boxing as a whole.

Kinda rooting for Bob on this one despite me thinking he's the devil normally lol. Hearn would be smart to make a massive offer for either guy. That would help this DAZN US run become a real player quicker.

Either stay a network free agent or go to the network that can give you the best matchups in the division.
