he literally set the record for clinching in that fight. he couldn't handle povetkin and thats why he had to cheat nonstop the entire fight. oh wait thats just good boxing or something ridiculously ****** and ignorant
I always thought that was a terrible performance by Wlad and the beginning of his decline.
his decline was getting face planted over and over. the clinching was his remedy for porous defense and a bad chin. he extended his career by ten years doing that sh-it
He beat Povetkin, no one is dis*****g that, but he looked infinitely worse than old Wlad doing it and that was when Povetkin was in his prime.
Povetkin landed way to much on AJ and throughout the fight he kept on throwing left hooks that looked dangerous. When he fought Wlad, he didn't even touch him other than once. Totally got dominated. You can dominate someone without stopping them.
AJ is to slow and robotic and his punches are telegraphed. He won't beat Wilder, Fury is to out of shape and is just a money fight for him or Wilder.

Yes AJ looked just awful the same as he looked knocking out almost everyone he ever fought. That's why he sells out those giant buildings. People pay to see awful fighters knock everybody out.
