  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Breaks Down Anthony Joshua-Alexander Povetkin

ANTHONY JOSHUA has not been adventurous and aggressive in his past two fights and the pressure might be on for the British boxing star to excite tonight. The WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight champion held back in wins over Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker after a dramatic victory last year over Wladimir Klitschko.

I’m not sure that long term AJ can keep fighting in Wembley/Cardiff for every fight. The novelty wears off if its every fight. Save it for the really big fights, theres nothing wrong with the 02 arena etc for normal title defences etc.

Fish eyes loves to compare and contrast but did Fury go all out to knock out Pianeta? When has fury ever been adventurous to knock out an opponent?

So Joshua only sold 83,000 tickets. It’s not the end of the world still a lot of people considering the opponent.

20,000 is way too small, plus you know Hearn he not scheduling it at Wembley so all his supporters can soak up the atmosphere it is simply financial and why not. So long as the demand is there he will keep trying to push the AJ brand.

All I see is another Hearn set up. His guy has every edge imaginable. I mean, Pedskin got here with a brutal KO of a guy who was brutally KOd 4 times before. Does anybody really think Hearn turned down 50 mil to lose for 20 mil?

Povetkin has a dad bod, but I actually think this might be a tougher fight than Wilder because Povetkin will not be emotional and reckless like Wilder would be and open himself up to get knocked out.

I think Povetkin grinds out the fight, and Joshua win a UD.

What on earth are you talking about? He's fighting the number 3 heavyweight in the world. How much bigger do you want the fight to be? It's a stacked card which has sold over 83k tickets. Clearly there's demand. If they did it at the O2 instead of Wembley they will have just missed out on selling 63k tickets. There's a shortage of medium sized arenas: the O2 is way too small so it has to be in a big stadium.

Cuz Fury always KO's his opponents and always sells out Wembley.

I hate when i get long winded replies from people who havent read what I typed properly. I said nothing about THIS fight, I said long term and for regular fights.

For fights of tonights magnetude, cool.
