GGG stalks his opponents because they are usually afraid of his power. Or at least respect it too much. Make no mistake GGG is an all time puncher. But here is the kicker. He only moves forward when his opponents move backwards. If you hold your grown, he moves around you and hits you with a jab. Watch him very close. Max Kellerman made a great call when he said GGG needs to execute like Chavez did vs Rosario. Chavez held Rosario on the ropes. He pushed him back and he wrecked him. GGG does not push you back and hold you in place. His craft is applied differently.

Canelo and his team recognized this and they also noticed that GGG is a little intimidated by Canelo’s hand speed and counter punching. So he doesn’t open up with heavy shots. GGG mostly throws a jab and touch shots or stick punches which are harder to counter. GGG can’t go to Canelo’s body not by choice but by Canelo’s prowess in counter punching.

Here is the kicker. I think expectations did cause the fight to be scored against GGG. So Roy Jones was correct in a sense. But I don’t think that’s fair. A fighter has a right to fight whatever style he wants in order to win. All of this who fights on the front foot should win, is hog wash. The winner of the fight is who is more EFFECTIVE in more rounds. PERIOD...

As great as Canelo fought, my naked eye score card was a DRAW. I was at a fight party where the host asked what everyone scored after each round. I strongly feel Canelo won 6 or 7 rounds. And GGG won 5 or 6 rounds. - Breadman

Bread is on point again! I think the judges were influenced by GGG's lack of body work, and his "back foot" approach! They gave Canelo "extra credit" for walking GGG down, and forcing him to fight in a manner totally different from they were accustomed to seeing! This is not fair, but it's happens! That's why so many people, Mxc and Roy included, gave so many rounds to Canelo, because Canelo's strategy too away GGG's power, and what is GGG without power shots? Actually, we saw that GGG is a damn good "boxer," but no one wants to see GGG "box!" They want "Mexican Style!" Canelo gave us "Mexican Style!"

When young Latino fighters like Canelo Alvarez, Oscar De La hoya and Ferndando Vargas came up in similar divisions and made their bones. They fought black fighters like Erislandy Lara, Austin Trout, James Kirkland, Shane Mosely, Pernell Whitaker, Winky Wright, Ike Quartey, Bernard Hopkins etc. I want to see how Munguia looks fighting those level of guys. - Breadman

I do too! I would love to see Munguia vs. J-Rock! J-Rock is IBF #1, but WBO #2! Dennis Hogan is WBO #1. Who is Dennis Hogan, and how did he get to #1? It's the WBO! What can you expect! If not J-Rock, I would also like to see Munguia vs. Castano! I don't know if everybody is ducking Castano, or if he doesn't want to fight in the U.S. If he watch wat he did to Derevyanchenko and Vitu, you'll be fan too!

The fight was a draw but Canelo impressed me more.

          Munguia has "some technical flaws?"

Munguia has a lot of flaws.

He's big and awkward and all he does is flail all over the ring.

When he loses he will lose embarrassingly bad.

            Cant agree more
            On point

            If golovkin stand and trade
            Canelo will whoop him badly
Hand speed difference is the key

What does it say about the boxing world when one of the top boxing analyst is ready to send a cheating Peds user to the HOF? ... I guess if you can buy judges, you can buy journalists.

I get the point and I think Canelo out of the ring is a diva and a spoilt brat, but also he´s a great boxer and has grit and an iron chin it seems. But here´s the question: clean the HOF of every fighter who ever cheated.. who´s left? Less than half, that much is certain. Sad but true.

How does a fighter go from most fearedkiller to get character points for finnally displaying heart in the last couple rounds against a guy who was supposed to have been terrified of him, avoiding him. Mr “ give me back my belts” is now the sympathy champ.

Breadman has been past the point where his media politics outweighs his credibility.
