Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Tells Anthony Joshua To Head To America For Legacy

Anthony Joshua's popularity in the U.K. prompted the universally recognised heavyweight champion to commit to a two-fight deal to appear at Wembley Stadium to reward his fans for their loyalty yet a fellow British boxer believes that the onus is on "AJ" to fight in America if he is to capitalise on his current form.

Khan couldn't sell out Sheffield arena when he thought he was popular .Recently when he struggled to beat no hoper Vargas at arena Birmingham .....again no sellout.Joshua sells out Wembley stadium and makes £20 million per fight.

Khan had to go to America .....he is well known in the uk but mostly for the wrong reasons , he is not well liked here.

I thought that until I attended his last fight. He is liked here and has a bigger following here than Kell Brook..... sure he is deluded but the casuals here are not aware of his ****** antics in trying to secure fights and who hates a guy that gives value for money every time he fights but you know if his chin is remotely clipped he crumbles?

Khan should fight Kell Brook and stop chasing people that don’t want to be chased. 4 years you have gone after Fighters you had no business mentioning.

Fighting in the States isn't a bad idea but as for the rest of the world viewing figures there amazing as they are. He's pulling big numbers all over the place .. probably North America is his weakest market.

Khan has been avoiding his legacy fight for years and can't even fill a decent sized arena in the UK.

AJ is fighting in the national stadium and ****** Khan's wife.

I can see the attraction of fighting in New York for an international fighter, but Vegas only benefits the house fighters and fighters looking for a cash-out.
