The Punch Stats: GGG landed more power punches to Canelo's head, and dominated jabs.

What is your criteria, then?
I was giving my perspective of the fight. Canelo slowed down a lot more than GGG.
So is GGG a beast for eating 46 body shots, yet it was the young fighter who barely ate any body shots, threw less punches, and yet slowed down more over the fight?Comment

GGG threw over 250 more punches throughout the fight. He threw a lot more combos in the second half where Canelo was the one fading. Both guys stood in each other’s face beating on each other pretty much the entire time. The things is, Canelo threw his punches in bunches. He threw combinations while GGG did not. His punches were a lot flashier and eye-catching than Golovkin's. Gennady was mostly landing single punches at a time; Mainly the jab followed by the occasional over hand right.Comment

people who continuously go back to punch stats as if they are a major consideration with a critical affect on scoring are usually hiding something. deep down they know that they're hiding behind that piece of paper.
use your f#cking eyes. turn the sound off if you need to distance yourself from the commentary. watch a round twice if you need to. there aren't many better seats in the house than a high quality HD feed. put your big boy pants on and score each round. watch the fighters. like, really, really watch them. watch the space in between them to evaluate action, and look at the fighters faces and bodies to evaluate the fighters' condition and mental state.
you'll see how silly you sound when you continuously go back to a piece of paper whent eh fight is available to you, in high quality, for you to watch on your own.Comment

I completely agree, but sometimes the compubox makes an obvious point even more obvious- in this case its the body shots stat of 46-6 & the power punch stat of ginger outlanding by 30 powershots, where the supposed monster MW who spent his entire career at MW(even in weak ass amatuers his fans love referencing) was who backed up the entire fight & got heavily bombarded with straight haymakers all night long by the lil ginger who they claimed would be nothing without his supposed peds,& whom they claimed would get bodied if he dared go toe to toe. Abel Sanchez has publicly given Canelo his respect as the rightful fair winner yet gggstans don't listen, they suffer from cognitive dissonance.people who continuously go back to punch stats as if they are a major consideration with a critical affect on scoring are usually hiding something. deep down they know that they're hiding behind that piece of paper.
