this is one of the dumbest arguments and fudging of the numbers to come to the conclusion you are praying will help you sleep at night. Hey if we just take away these punches and add those punches you see Canelo didn't whoop GGG azzz that bad LMAO
Now body punches which did the most damage on GGG simply don't even count HAHAHAHA
And those headshots were equal from both fighters? DESPITE GGG face falling apart from Canelo's and Canelo having almost on physical effect. HAHAHAHA
This is a new all time low for GGG fangirls. that's like the cavs saying well if you remove all the 3 pointers the Warriors hit we would of had more points on the scoreboard and therefore won. Bam Cavs 2018 world champs baby! HAHAHA
TS just went full re tard.
hey folks I cracked the code let me show you how GGG really did have more power punches then Canelo just look at my blackboard and my personal scoring system
Once again, we have probably the three best boxing judges in the world right now, sitting ringside, observing the flow of the fight...the effect of the jabs and powershots, whose punches were effective, whose punches were sharp or arm punches, looking at each fighter's body language during the fight and in between rounds, looking at who is controlling the ring and the pace of the fight, who is coming forward, who is backing away, the styles and intent of both fighters, under intense scrutiny because of the first fight... and they decided that the fight was very close, which some people who were interview afterward also saw, and that Canelo edged it, which we, who saw it on tv, listening to the bias of Roy and Jim and that other guy are also having difficulty discerning...Even Abel Sanchez acknowledged that his fighter veered from the game plan because maybe there was an injury or effective punching by Canelo...All this to say, I believe the judges. GGG lost his titles to the better man on the night...no excuses.
I bet canelos face is black and blue now....seeing by that picture his face is pretty swollen and both eyes are closing.
I want to see this fight again though to settle this once and for alll
Canelo gets marked up like the next guy, so if he's barely bruised against the big bad GGG then something is wrong. And something WAS wrong. I can't believe no one picked up on this, but I clearly saw GGG arm-punching in there because he couldn't hit Canelo with his usual slow thudding shots that normally land on his opponents.
Canelo however was getting full rotations and follow-through with his punches on GGG which is why he never looked this bruised before. Just face it guys, GGG got hit with some car-crash simulators that would have knocked out everyone but him. Canelo's coach even had to tell him that he wasn't going to knock GGG out, to keep him focused on beating him and not fixate on a knockout because it was never going to happen.
That feint-hook GGG ate in the 2nd round was easily the best punch of the fight and I refuse to believe anyone but GGG could lean into that punch and not even get wobbled. It's completely inhuman how he took that punch the way he did.
Canelo landed 46 body shots, GGG landed 6. And yet Canelo was the one who slowed down in the second half of the fight, while GGG upped his pace.
So clearly, Canelo's body shots were not effective.
Now let's do some basic math.
Body shots are considered to be power punches, and since they were not effective, let's remove them from the count, and to be fair, we will remove them for both fighters.
Canelo landed 143 total power punches, minus 46 body punches, leaving Canelo with 97 power punches upstairs.
GGG landed 116 total power punches, minus 6 body punches (and those 6 were more effective than Canelo's 46), leaving GGG with 110 power punches upstairs.
So in terms of power punches, GGG landed 13 more power punches to Canelo's head.
Now when it comes to jabs, Canelo landed 59, while GGG landed 118, effectively doubling Canelo in the Jab department, therefore dominating Canelo in that category.
Now talking about the face appearance, Canelo is 28, GGG is 36, and skin bruises a lot more at that age. And GGG always had easily marked skin. Also, GGG's cut was from a head clash, while Canelo's cut was from GGG's right hand. And while Canelo hit GGG in the facial area, GGG hit Canelo all over his skull.
GGG landed a lot more head snapping punches.
GGG landed more power punches to the head.
GGG doubled Canelo in the jab department.
GGG threw 879 punches to Canelo's 622, making him the much more active fighter.
So GGG is understandably still the real champ for the majority of the public. And Canelo got a nice undeserved gift.
get over it even abel knows and acknowledges they lost the fight....NEXT
I just think it's funny how Canelo fans rip on a guy for trying to "score with his own system" when they do the exact same ****.
Same question asked but no response.
How much more do body shots count than jabs? Because you're gonna lie to my face and tell me that the guy who lands more body shots ALWAYS wins? Dont ****ing kid me.
Power punches can lead you to who won the fight, but it's not black and white. There is a TON of grey. But let's do some simpler math, you're telling me that 59 jabs are worth less than 27 power punches?
59<27
Yet you dont actually have anything that definitely proves this? And then on top of this, you actually TRUST compubox?
Please.
The majority of boxing fans and the boxing writers of America got this right.
