This is true. All the snarl and stuff isnt going to save you when Canelo starts walking you down and landing body shots. That is what he does to guys who throw jabs from outside and long punches . Or that is what he should do.

Charlo would be my bet. I do think Derevyanchenko has a solid chance. What happens vs Jacobs should define him better.

Hurd & Munguia could be at some future date. Hurd is the most limited of all the guys I'm mentioned, but he legit has that Jason Friday the 13th type style that just seems to wears cats down eventually. I think he'll be able to do that less at 160 with success, but who knows for sure. And Munguia still seems pretty raw so he'll need to spend the next year or two upping his game, but he could be that guy to I feel.

Mike Tyson was a boogieman & a US guy. Keith Thurman was a boogieman at WW for awhile. Spence might be a boogieman now.

But yea I agree you are right more often then not. Usually being a boogieman has as much if not more to do with the juice not being worth the squeeze for fighting you more than some "y'all scared" thing. And foreign guys are more likely to warrant lower purses than a US guy in the US so there are better fights for guys to take that pay more & are less risky.

it's gonna be charlo...give it a little while when the ggg hater's high has worn off and they'll turn on canelo and say he's ducking charlo. right now canelo is their knight in shining armor, but when he faces Lemieux next, he'll be "ducking charlo doe".
