I don't know how to take him anymore, I'm not really sure what kind of fighter he is, he made his name being a seek and destroy fighter. It's good that he is versatile, but in the first fight apart from the jab he couldn't hit Canelo with a bag of rice, in a fight which was much closer than any GGG would care to admit.

Then him and Abel cry about running for a full 12 months, so the dude walks straight into his wheelhouse all night and he doesn't oblige. Why didn't he just trade and try and drown Canelo like Hagler did to Hearns. They kept talking in the build up about "knock out" "taking it out of the judges hands"

I think in reality Golovkin isn't very educated in close quarters fighting.
fishnets told ggg you're 36, there's not much for you after this, i'll give you millions if you let my guy win

ggg knew fishnets was right so he sold out on us and took the money since there's no one else who can get him money like that, plus sets up another money fight for a possible 3rd

valid points, but ggg is the one who shot himself in the foot for saying all this nonsense only to do the opposite.

had he never said anything, then he wouldn't look bad.

that's why I gave props to Canelo (who lost) for doing what he said he was going to do

this is why I had it for GGG. felt I was always seeing Canelo's head snapping back. Don't think there's ever been a fight with his head getting popped so much like that

fishnets said it himself "if I was younger(34) when I fought Mayweather, I would've kicked his ass"

34 apparently is too old, so that's why he waited till GGG was 35(now 36) for his boy to finally let them square up

Last time I checked both fighters where bloodied and bruised after the fight. Do you expect GGG to completely forget his defense and start swinging hoping for a KO?

Anyone who predicted either fight as anything more than a close decision either way are the ones who got it wrong. Anyone who claimed a KO for either fighter was a troll or at the best just wishful thinking. So everyone who got into feuds and claimed their boy would smash the other can all shut up. This fight was tight but it was another let down, neither fighter got close to even wobbling the other fighter. They are equals in the ring. Course this whole site was filled with posts after the first fight saying they werent.

Golovkin went to war in spots throughout the fight. He went to war in 9, 10, 11 and even in 12. Canelo fans are already forgetting parts of the fight that their ego needs to repress.

On the other hand....Playing devil's advocate....Why did Canelo miss so many punches, and why did he lose his balance a few times in the fight? He's supposed to be the much younger and fresher guy. Seriously though, did he have on shoes without any tread? He slid a few times and went down in the 12th, I think it was.

The truth is going to war is risky and shows a lack of talent. Its a gamble. It gives a lesser opponent a chance to counter you bad. No one bum rushes floyd. It works sometimes. But lets face it theres a reason the cream rises to the top. GGG cant smoke Nelo and Nelo cant merc GGG. I don't doubt each fighter did the best they could. getting punched in the face sucks. 24 rnds. If anyone didn't do something they had a reason.
