Yes, just cancel when the one month is up. But don't sign up for it until the day of the Joshua/Povetkin fight or a day before. Just remember the day you signed up for it, and then a month later cancel it with no extra charge.

HBO has good shows and HBO Go is worth the subscription fee. I think in general Showtime is fine. Yeah, a lot of mismatches but there's still quality in there. Every network has mismatches. I don't think you can push out regular shows and nothing but quality matches. The managers and advisers just aren't willing to risk enough these days.

You need an HBO subscription for HBO GO.

Depends what else you watch on cable. If it's mainly sports plus HBO & SHO then basic plus the premiums should cut out a lot in the middle.

Maybe switch providers? New companies always have deals but when their contract or promo is up they all end up around that $200 mark.

Even if you can afford it that's an obscene amount to pay for TV & Internet. The best package here costs around £90 and that gives you everything.

With high speed Internet (I'm assuming you have fibre) there's really no need to pay for TV if you're resourceful.

I pay $150 a month for DirecTV which includes sports package, HBO, SHO and I get free Sunday Ticket. DirecTV has been desperate to keep their customers so call the retention network and get great deals.
