Why did Lederman change his scoring method last night?

It's a running joke that Lederman gives rounds to the fighter coming forward. We all know it's true. He values aggression more than anything, even if it's not effective aggression.

Last night Canelo was the come forward fighter in all rds except the 11th. Yet Lederman had the fight a clear victory for GGG.....hmmm

Ok here is Lederman's card going into the 7th round. He has it even. After the 7th you hear Sanchez tell GGG he's losing and GGG nods. Lederman has GGG winning going into the 8th, wtf? Not even Abel and GGG thought they were winning at this point

Well to be fair Canelo's boxing was to the ropes and Golovkin's was in the middle of the ring. Not bashing either fighter but one looks worse than the other even if that's not the reality.

Also, I'm not sure why he would favor Golovkin. If it's an HBO thing, wouldn't they want to keep the younger, more popularity fighter in Canelo? The guys calling the fight were blowing Canelo all night. Giving him a pat on the back for missing punches even.

Lederman is just a geezer who still believes in the old " you give every close round to the champion" BS...

He had ggg winning the first half of the fight and canelo winning the second half. Dude is a complete moron.

I think at one point during the broadcast he even admitted: "i have no idea how I'm scoring this"

Jim Lamply is another ****** who has no clue what he's talking about.

Add kellerman and Roy to that list also.
The whole team stinks now. Good riddance to them.

He was so bad when Sanchez leaned in and told GGG he was losing the fight lederman had just finished giving him that round. A round he got so whooped that even Sanchez was worried. He needs to be fired he is horrible, bias and and creates a false narrative of fights too often.

Yep! I remember Sanchez saying that but forgot it was right after Lederman scorecard. When your trainer tells you you're losing the fight its not a close fight at that point

He was so confused on what to do lol. At one point he even said I don’t even know. And that it could be 7-3 canelo instead of for gg.
