What's next for Canelo and GGG?

Canelo - I think he has a mandatory in Jermall Charlo due for the WBC.
Not sure if the WBA mandatory is up yet? Don't know if there is a number 1?

GGG - Immediate rematch he obviously wants. All depends on Canelo and if he can keep his hardware.

I wouldn't mind Canelo-Charlo and a GGG-Jacobs rematch should Danny win his next fight.

      Canelo vs Lemieux or Munguia

GGG vs 168 title holder (Gilberto Ramirez or Rocky Fielding)

Yeah I think GGG should go to 168 and fight someone he can win a slugfest against.

He'll get zero respect taking a rebound fight at 160. He won't beat Canelo in a third fight. A Charlo or Jacobs fight could turn out badly for him. Moving up would be respectable and he could definitely beat a recognizable name there in an exciting fight.

Its fairly obvious that Canelo vs. Lemieux is next for December. Golden Boy even made it so that Lemieux earned some sort of BS mandatory status from the WBA believe to justify it. I guess everyone is supposed to forget that Murata is already the regular champion (thus a mandatory opponent already technically) and is facing his own mandatory in Rob Brant. Sigh, all so needlessly confusing.

GGG's trainer wants him to rest until the trilogy fight in May 2019. I am torn about it. Personally, I think GGG performs better when he's active. He seems sharper. At the same time he's older now and he's more offensively focused. So he doesn't have the style to go on till he's 50 like Bernard Hopkins because GGG is going to take more punishment than he should even in the fights he dominates for the sake of entertaining the fans and landing his punches.

            Alvarez:

            1. Jermall Charlo
            2. Daniel Jacobs/Derevyanchenko (Winner)
            3. Saunders/Andrade (Winner)

            Golovkin:

            1. Daniel Jacobs/Derevyanchenko (Loser)
            2. Saunders/Andrade (Loser)

These should be their next opponents.

Anyone confirm Charlo is the mando? I'd love to see this fight.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Davey L get a shot if there is no pressing mando for Canelo. I'm of the opinion that Davey vs Spike fight was for a shot at Canelo. I do tend to think we won't be seeing Canelo til May. I suspect Munguia could be on the shortlist for Canelo as well. Maybe next September or May 2020. I think you wanna fight him while he's still learning if you can. Don't wanna let him get too good. And I'd be curious how a all Mexican May/Sept fight would go.

GGG should fight the best guy he can get on the platform that'll pay him the most. He's probably only got a handful of fights left so he just needs to cash in vs whoever is paying him the most cash. I feel like if Andrade beats BJS Hearn will make a play for Andrade vs GGG. And that could be his best next option. If BJS wins I think Warren will make a play to make BJS vs GGG. I've always thought BJS matches up well vs GGG (& Canelo) even when BJS was talking himself down in that infamous line about GGG beating him & Eubank Jr on the same night.

Canelo takes a gimmie against Lemeiux in December.

What happens next depends on others. I could see Floyd possibly coming back to challenge for the middleweight title.... maybe 2 million PPV buys.
