He's definitely a poor sport for not giving an interview in a close fight, which also happens to be the biggest fight of the year. Barring a Mayweather return. He robbed the fans and everyone who paid money an interview. I should seek a $15 return for that.

Yes. It shows lack of character. Anybody can smile and dance for the cameras when you're winning. Losing brings out a person's true character. After Canelo lost to Floyd he stood there and answered the questions and even said the fight was nowhere near a draw.

Kovalev stayed for his interview after losing to Ward. I thought Kovalev's character was worse than GGG's. I was wrong.

2-0 so far in favor of him being a poor sport...3-0 if you count me in for a vote on it too

I don't believe anyone is obligated to stay for the post-fight interviews. I also don't believe it speaks of anyone's character considering the intensity of the situation.

I didn't take down any notes but I recall Max Kellerman's questions to Canelo being hyperbolic, theatrical and not reflecting the gritty and close nature of the fight. This may have been what irritated Golovkin.

Took his ball home. Cotto did the same thing.

He did came and answered questions, and even praised canelo in the post-fight conference. No one is obligated to stay and answer questions after a fight by the way, so asking for a small refund is absurd.

I used to love cotto until he turned into a diva. Now i can't stand his azz. Ggg is not as bad as cotto but I'm seeing him slowly turning into him with his divaish antics
