Sanchez actually did a piss poor job advising GGG on adjusting to Canelo's aggressive attack.GGG inside fight game with Canelo on the ropes was non existant which Sanchez is responsible as trainer to make sure GGG get that work in .No wonder he's being meek and classy now ..he knows he ****ed up!

over the course of the two fights, one fighter got a draw out of a fight they should have lost, tested for peds, got a few months ban, 1 yr later got a win from a fight they should have drawn (IMO) and now his opponent is next to useless LOL, wow
i think people should be saluting a great fight, both guys adapted and could have won right at the death, u cant ask for more than thatComment

Canelo fought the way GGG has fought most of his pro career and he gains new fans. But when GGG did he was a "forward marching mummy".
GGG was actually boxed really well last night off the back foot but I haven't seen one NSB poster give him any credit for that or even mention it.
GGG should fight Spike OSullivan and work his way back upComment

Great analysis. What I dont get is how Canelo abandoned the body mid to late rounds. From round 3 on he had GGG huffing and puffing and completely winded like Id never seen before. I thought he could have taken GGG out had he laid waste to his body as his body attacks were viscous and affecting GGG in a big way. I was yelling in the theatre stay to the body! HahaComment

Here's the official scorecards and punch stats.
Round 2 went to Canelo on all 3 judges cards yet GGG landed twice the power shots and jabs.
Round 3 also went to Canelo on all 3 scored-cards and although it was closer GGG again out landed both jabs and power-shots.
Round 5 all 3 judges scored for Canelo...a round which GGG out landed Canelo 22-14/ 10-6 jabs/ 12-8 power punches. GGG out landed Canelo in both jabs and power-shots by 50%.
If those round were scored with any integrity it should have gone 112-116/111-117/112-116 all for GGG. Even if you gave the 3rd round to Canelo although he was out-landed in both jabs and power-shots or only the 5th round for that matter...it's still a unanimous decision for GGG.
