I think Canelo goes after Saunders first as that's an easier fight and it'll be hard to sell another GG fight right now. If Golovkin gets a win and Canelo beats Saunders, they may do this again.

G should just retire. Nobody wants to be Kovalev and try to rebuild after debatable L's only to get KTFO on the comeback trail.

and these losses are more debatable, plus G is years older than Kov. He can't start trying to pick up random belts at 37.

If GGG got the nod would he give Canelo a rematch? He never gave Jacobs one.
Jacobs wasn't getting a rematch because the Canelo fight was next. Even Jacobs acknowledged that and said he understood.

why didn't Canelo give Lara a rematch, instead of sitting out for a year and then fighting a semi-retired Kirkland?

GGG won't get a rematch. Canelo is happy that he got gifted a win and a draw against an 35/36 year old and he'll run with it.

Don't get me wrong, Canelo is an excellent fighter, but he just can't beat GGG fair and square.

These posts are so damn weird. He fought the man twice, why would he be afraid to get it on with him again?

Eric Gomez has already basically alluded to the fact they won't fight Saunders, basically saying they don't like his style. Trying to make out it's not entertaining...but it's because Canelo struggles v anyone that moves well.

However you rate Saunders, it has to be acknowledged that he's a big solid Middleweight that has excellent movement, good skills, tough and can fight too. stylistically, it's not a great fight for Canelo.

He hasn't got enough of a profile to make the public demand it. Even if he beats Andrade on DAZN, it's not even going to make any waves.

It didn't look like Canelo HURT him . But Canelos shots definitely had a noticeable effect on him .

You missed the point. He didn't give Lara a rematch, despite it being a split decision and some thinking he lost. He got what he wanted and never mentioned it again.

Nobody is saying he's afraid of GGG, he isn't, but now he got his "win", he will be ok with that, despite most people knowing he didn't win. They are shameless enough to disregard the fact everyone knew it was a gift and will take the gift and run, never to return.

                    Exactly. It's the same cycle...

                    - Fighter A is scared of Fighter B
                    - Fighter A beats Fighter B
                    - Excuses & crying
                    - Fighter A will duck a rematch

                    - Excuses
                    - More crying

                    It's boring.

I’d love to see a rematch, if their handlers are smart one won’t Hellen though. Fights like that age a fighter. Whoever gets either fighter next is getting them at the right time.

GGG wasted his career by fighting bums until the very end. What a shame because he’s so skilled.

Canelo showed me something last night and can be an all time great now. He’s in his prime and should take an easy fight next then call out all the big names from 147 to 160. He is the real deal and now has the style that will win him the big fights.
