This is dumb as hell. You score each round in isolation, and tally up the scores. That's how you score fights.

It's something commentary teams have drummed into the head of sheep for years. "You have to take the belt from the champion". Nobody has been able to explain when exactly you're supposed to apply this "champion bonus" though.

I didn't see it as that close of a fight. It was through the mid rounds but Golovkin was pretty much cruising & consistently landing more punches for the remainder of the fight.
