Is this thread a bait to discuss how Floyd would beat Hatton?

Because I think Floyd would beat Ricky. He's too fast, and Hatton is there to hit when he charges in. Floyd would hit and get out too fast, and it'd become ugly. I think Hatton might even be stopped on cuts.

I don't think Floyd would stop him with punches however. Hatton's chin is made of granite.

Well, man, Eamonn Magee is a former TOP amateur who got a silver medal at the World Junior's in 1989 and avenged his defeat to Urkal in 1993 before quitting boxing for a few years. He only turned pro because he had no money, when he fought Hatton it was the first time he ever got himself into shape, he stopped smoking for the first time ever and knocked out Branco in sparring for Hatton. Magee had been robbed against Paul Burke with no training, and apart from that he'd only lost one early fight.

Magee was a genuine, world-class fighter who Hatton out-boxed. Remember, Hatton/Magee was a 50/50 pick 'em! Magee had showed flashes in his career of awesome handspeed here and there, and I've rarely seen anybody who could counter-punch off the ropes as well as him.

Going into the fight Magee was rated #3 by the WBC while Hatton was #4.

Maybe momentarily stunned because he was eating a ton of leather. But that's to be expected, because every time Hatton charged in, he ate a flush four punch combo.

His chin is made of space age steel man. The only time he's ever been down was against Eamon Magee.

And that was a flash knockdown at best, Hatton wasn't even really hurt.

He can move his head on the way in and throw a little jab on the way out, he can give you angles, he can side-step and switch angles, he has great variety of shots, he feints inside and his body punching is the best in the business, and his hands are ultra-sharp as is his mind.

But the Hatton that fought Collazo would be easily beaten by Gatti.
