Canelo, Golovkin Rematch Official Scorecards - Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin fought 24 rounds in the space of a year, with little to pick between them. When the scorecards were totaled Saturday night, though, the judges crowned a new middleweight champion of the world - but just barely. Alvarez won the 160-pound titles held by Golovkin by the narrowest of margins, taking a majority decision to hand the longtime champion his first loss as a pro in a spirited fight that had a sold out crowd roaring.

Go lock-in clearly lost round 9 so the draw card is bull****.

Using that logic Canelo clearly lost the 12th so the two cards that had him winning are equally b.s

            Gotta admit
Golovkin lost, he should admit it
Canelo was aggresor almost whole time
Golovkin jabbed at will, but canelo visibly landed more power punch, if only ggg fought hardly from start, he would win
U cant win close fight against canelo
            He knew it

It's not the same logic because on the draw card only one judge saw fit to give Golovkin the 9th.

While two judges agreed that Canelo won the 12th.

GGG lost 7-5 even after they gave him the first round .
                That round was worthless.
Neither one deserved to win that round .
That's the problem with this gotta have a 10-9 round every round .

So Canelo can get hit with hundreds of jabs and uppercuts while only landing a few power shots to win the fight?

I really wish people stop with this "Canelo was the aggressor". Why does that matter if you're still getting tagged all night and even visibly hurt a few times? Golovkin outboxed Canelo. This wasn't like the first fight when Canelo got backed all the way up against the ropes looking for a way out. Golovkin stood there and keep hitting Canelo with hard jabs AND uppercuts while all mostly Canelo did walk right into them. Thus, it should be obvious who is the real winner here...and no, it wasn't the one who the judges gave it to.
