I thought it was a closed fight. Canelo dominated the first half of the fight and GGG dominated the second half.

It was a close fight, but being as lenient I can to canelo I had it 7-5 ggg. He hurt canelo more than canelo hurt him landed the better power punches and outlanded him. He also won rds 10 and 11 clearly. One thing I know for sure. A 30 year old ggg beats canelo easily.

Great fight that could have gone either way. Anyone who has a problem with that decision is not really a boxing fan. Canelo won majority of the early rounds with his agression and power punching while GGG won majority of the 2nd half.

You could have literally flipped a coin for the result. Great fight

I completely agree. People are penalising Golovkin for not fighting how they expected him to fight, but he was much more effective off the back-foot than Canelo was in the first fight and this time along with controlling most of the fight with his jab he also landed the better highlight reel head-shots

This is exactly what happened. You have to not listen to Max and his ****** talk about ‘winning the story’. You don’t judge a fight by what story people wanted to read into it before it started
