GGG landed 234. Canelo landed 202. GGG landed a ton of jabs. Canelo landed more of the power shots.

Canelo walked GGG down most of the fight! As many folks have said, European fighters cannot take body shots, in particular Eastern European fighters. Canelo worked that body, and the body shots paid tonight. Good win for Canelo.

I predicted Canelo to win via a decision. My gut told me Canelo. The worst thing about this decision is Canelo fans get to talk sh@t until the 3rd fight-LOL!!!!

Golovkin wins the first fight, it gets called a draw.


The second is a draw, Canelo wins the fight.

Canelo threw some great shots. But one power shot doesn't = win the round. GGG threw a lot more and landed a lot more. He hurt Canelo too.
It was a close fight and many rounds you could argue either way. But 8-11 were clear GGG rounds. As were 5 & 6. So at the very least a draw should have been expected.
As most of the commentators/experts are saying you can't say GGG lost and you can say did Canelo do enough to win?

Correct! AS SOON as they announce fight #3, a lot of banter will go back and forth again-LOL!!! I am predicting Canelo again because GGG will be even older in the trilogy.

This card was a joke filled with mismatches and a high way expected robbery.

That's why I streamed it. Set-up fights from top to bottom, and the main event was a prime fighter VS. an aging fighter. Very predictable.
