Another thing is how are they measuring ratings for DAZN? Is it number of subscribers? Is it number of subscribers signed up when it was announced he'd fight on DAZN? Is it number of subscribers signed up the week of his fight? BoMac said when he went to negotiate Crawfords deal he was trying to get the ratings for the ESPN + fight and nobody had them and was told they couldn't measure them. With TV ratings that's public info. Fast Eddie could tell the public only 100k watched to keep the bidding low for Kovalev. And Kovalev hasn't done over a million on HBO in a while so if he can pull that from ESPN that'll show that his name still draws in the casuals

Sure, but Duva still obviously believes Kovalev can win the rematch. We have no idea how much money was offered, but more potential for Kovalev if he wins the rematch on ESPN opposed to DAZN.

Also, we can put an end on ESPN only having $30 million for their 30 cards they have to put on. Like I said, more likely double that.

Totally different. Haymon is using the select few promoters for HIS own show. Arum doesn't have the stable to fill 30 dates so he wants any available fight and will put fighters not sighed to TR on ESPN.

She knows if Kovalev wins more people will see it on ESPN than on DAZN. If he loses more people will see it on ESPN. She wants more eyeballs on her fighter.

How will the FOX deal not do anything for them? It essentially is what was at SHO with the license fees. So the PBC gets double the dates as it has had the last few years.

Make no mistake, Hearn has tried to go after Haymon guys hard, and went after this fight hard. He for one had no idea how much money Haymon fighters were making and then like I mentioned earlier underestimated proven fighters not wanting to fight on such a small platform.

Hearn obviously has a lot of money, but one thing that hasn't been made clear is if the $125 million per year is for the license fees or in totality? Like for example, he mentioned they will use up to $50 million in marketing. So is that separate from the $125 million?

Point blank, he is up against it and has thus far been humbled. He will need to adjust his plan a bit and wait until DAZN becomes proven. Problem with that? Only way it happens is if it picks up rights to other major sports leagues and those rights aren't open until 2021 or 2022.

Plus if this is true subtract more money because he signed AJ, Amir Khan, Jesse Vargas, etc. to dazn which would in turn lower their budget even more.

And you know if Haymon negotiated for Khan and Vargas he overpayed.

Top Rank are essentially co-promoters in the same way, Matchroom are co-promoters with Salita, K2 and World of Boxing. Haymon pays Di Bella, Schaeffer and Tom Brown to organise the events for his fighters, they're not really promoters or co-promoters of fighters. More like event coordinators.

How is it different? For one, Haymon pays a set fee for guys like Dibella to promote shows of HIS fighters. Arum and TR pick up fights of fighters not signed to them to fill air time. Like I said, they don't have the fighters to fill 30 dates a year. What was one of the reasons the deal for Andrade/BJS got made just before the purse bid? Because Arum sent one of his guys to put a bid for that fight to air on ESPN. Haymon is not doing that because he doesn't have to. He up until the FOX deal was in a opposite predictament of having too many fighters and not enough dates.

And because Haymon just pays set fees for guys like Dibella to promote his shows, it allows fighters to benefit by getting a piece of the live gate among other things.

Even if it is lower than $125 million (Hearn says it is), he still has a crazy amount of money. Heck, even if the marketing money is coming out of the total money, he is good.
