You mean the imaginary 80%, because 80% is a ridiculous figure for him to pull out hizzazz. PLENTY of Canelo fans, huge group of Hispanic population, you name it. The fight would have 1/3rd the purses if it was GGG vs whoever else. Fans want to see Canelo easily as much as they want to see GGG, more actually. You Canelo haters just get way too emotional about the issue with the tainted meat and/or the draw last fight. Need to put on your big boy pants all of you, and just get past it. You must contend with the reality that a sizable portion of the Mexican fan base will throw its support behind Golovkin. Not 80%, but when you give the fans what they want to see. they in return give you the respect you deserve and Golovkin did exactly that that’s why he is now a force to be reckoned with. GGG as of now is the most respected and appreciated fighter on the planet and #1 MW champion.

People love this guy so much because he's a true man of the sport. He is the best pound for pound out there and its hard to hate him. Those Mexican fans will never ever forget that, Golovkin is such a class act.

Majority of the Mexican fans support GGG the champion for his courage and humility, not because of nationally, but purely for the love of boxing! They recognize something in themselves in Golovkin! Mexicans for Golovkin!
