    Pairings in boxing

    There was Ward/Gatti, for example.
    Morales vs Barrera
    Morales vs Pacquiao
    Pacquiao vs Marquez
    Now we have Golovkin/Canelo.
Excluding Pac, all the rest would not have been as popular had they not fought the other.
So why can't these current lower level fighters not find a partner to promote themselves well?

What other pairings do you think would click,
that is without having to fight a big name?
I'm thinking of Jacobs vs Jermall Charlo.

I really enjoyed the Porter Garcia fight. I'd like to see them go at it again with Danny under new trainer.

Porter most likely have no problem rematching Garcia.
But Garcia is a different animal.
He always seems to be thinking of retiring than anything else.
He wasn't talking about avenging his loss to Thurman until after months or so.
The passion is not as strong as say Matthysse or Khan wanting another fight with Garcia.
So Porter/Garcia 2 will never happen.

Point is why is it typical for current fighters who are still struggling to make it on top to leech off someone else's popularity?
There is only one Canelo out there, he can't fight everybody.
So why waste your prime waiting for a big fight that may never come?
Why not do it on your own without that one big fight you're waiting for?
One of them is to find someone that could potentially be a good Gatti or Ward partner...

Any potential pairing you think of making it as another Gatti/Ward legacy.
I don't mean between already big name stars.
You don't need to be paired with someone if you're already big.
Morales and Barrera weren't as big before their rematch.

Yeah, both two fights were one-sided.
It's like Wilder taking on another one of his rag doll beating moments
like most of his cherrypicked fights.
                Horrible pairing.

It's just unfortunate to me that these current fighters with established names choose to ignore each other, instead of making every effort to fight.
Can't these clowns just try to make it on their own without using a big-name star?
They all pretend to want the big money fights, yet fight meaningless ones while waiting.
These Charlo sisters just piss the hell out of me doe.
