Comments Thread For: Hopkins: Mentioning 'Caveman' GGG With Hagler Disrespectful

LAS VEGAS Bernard Hopkins readily admits he has "an agenda." Not only is the retired legend a partner in the company that promotes Canelo Alvarez, the Mexican icon can prevent Gennady Golovkin from breaking Hopkins' record for consecutive middleweight title defenses by beating Golovkin on Saturday night. Hopkins recognizes that their rematch should amount to another close fight Saturday night, though, and respects Golovkin's considerable power.

Yeah we all know Bernard s agenda, he's made it clear that hes a racist piece of ****. I agree he's not up there with hagler (not many are) but it's disrespectful to call someone with golovkin s record and extensive amateur achievements a caveman.

Hagler and Hopkins were far better than Golovkin, no disrespect though to a very good fighter in GGG.

Hopkins wasn't. Who did he beat that was so great during his 160 run?

Hopkins just sounds like a bitter old man saying dumb crap like GGG is a cave man.
Be respectful of another man's achievements you salty old crab.

Yeah, Hopkins is the guy to look for to know how not to cross the line. One thing that has always impressed me about Hospins has been his respect towards others no matter what.

You think ggg has a better resume than Hopkins, more skill than hopkins? You need to watch Hopkins film study so you can learn why he's one of the best boxers EVER. GGG is far from Hopkins on a skill level and resume. With GGG style will he be able to win a title 2 years from now? How about 10 years from now? How about 14 years from now? Hopkins did it. I understand the hatred of skin color blinds our eyes when it comes to boxing, but stop the hatred and use your boxing brain before you comment.
