Madiev opened up a huge gash over the left eye of Cano with a head butt and follow up with a punch.

It was God awful sight reminiscent of a Arturo Gatti fight. Blood was flowing throughout Cano's face. The fight had to be stopped by referee Russell Mora.

Clearly it was an accidental head butt. They went to the score cards. The final scores after 5 rounds were 49-47 on all three cards in favor of Cano.

Cano started bleeding at the first bell. He out worked Mediev, but looked a mess. I can't see him winning like that for long.
