That's what is so confusing though. He only needed to lose 3 pounds in 7 days, apparently, but he looks like a fighter who is doing a full weight cut like you've described, cutting 15 pounds in a week.
So either the unofficial WBC weights are lies,and GGG's camp is lying too, or something is going on that has not been explained yet.
And if you are minimizing the negative effects of a weight cut, but creating negative effects in training by training for a month in a weakened state, how is that a net gain? And what about the positive effects? GGG seems to be getting the same negative effects as everyone, but he is sacrificing the positive effects that a fast, I'm-guessing-Spence-style-weight cut, give you in terms of size and power. GGG is a good power puncher boxing as an average sized middleweight in the ring, imagine how devastating he could be if he cut weight and rehydrated the same way Spence, Jacobs and Canelo seem to?
