Comments Thread For: Canelo-GGG, a year later, remains compelling for same reasons

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Three weeks after the Money circus finally left Las Vegas, it was the fight to save "real" boxing. And for nearly every one of 36 minutes, it delivered. In fact, it wasn't until a few minutes after the final bell that the first Gennady Golovkin-Canelo Alvarez middleweight matchup yielded even the slightest disappointment...

    'Lyle Fitzsimmons'

WOW, what an annoying name. Anyway, hopefully Canelo gets the result he deserves this time and KOs the Kazakh donkey. They clearly robbed Canelo so they could force him back for another big fight the crooks.

Canelo by liting up and then TKO in the 11th

I see Alvarez winning a close UD, because I honestly don't see either guy doing much differently, but do see Alvarez making the simple adjustment of throwing more to secure rounds. He also took Golovkin's power well, so maybe he won't be on the bike so much either.

He, though, is still a three-belt champion, and while Alvarez would surely find more beatable dance partners if he chose to return full-time to 154 pounds, none would represent the competitive challenge he maintained was his prime motivation in taking the step to 160 in the first place.

This is bull****. He went to 160 because he was FORCED to by the fans and his ****** 155 is not middleweight crap.

Um. Alvarez cannot throw more. He doesn't have the stamina to do it. He thinks being less muscular means more stamina, but it doesn't, and what he's going to find out is that GGG can step it up more. GGG didn't even fight his best fight the first time and won at least 8 to 4.

He didn't feel his punches but he rated Golovkin's power as a 9 out of 10. LOL..

I haven't heard any buzz about this fight. It seems nobody cares anymore because of all of the bad judging in Vegas.

I think boxing is going to have to move away from Vegas and NSAC. All of the judges from Vegas should never be hired again to judge fights.
