When Iole asked "Did you eat meat over a couple of weeks or did you eat steak on one night & happen to get a bad one?"
Canelo avoided the question: "I spend all my time in Mexico. That's where I live, where I reside, but when I come to train I do it in San Diego."
Also pretty strange he required a translator on that straight forward question he's been avoiding for the past 6 months, yet most all the others (even from Iole), including the follow up questions "have you eaten meat in San Diego", "not one meal you can pin down in Mexico for the reason of the dirty test" he understood the English perfectly.

Why evade giving direct answers to interviewers? “It’s primarily to do with face; positive face is concerned with making sure they themselves don’t look bad, and negative face is about keeping one’s freedom of action and not committing to anything.”
Doesn't seem like someone that's trying to prove their innocence or be absolved of a simple mistake, rather move on & request everyone forget it ever happened.
