Agreed. Not judging the sales. Judging the matchups which were not on par w the previous editions. 2 guys I’ve heard of vs 2 guys I haven’t, who probably never fought outside their home countries, and I may never hear from again. The Japanese guy coming off retirement vs McWillians was the best fight in the card.

The number just highlight that the card was crappy. The crappy card possibly highlights that HBO doesn’t care as much. I mean, really, screw the fight game. Spend that money on paying better fighters to get in the ring. Are “casuals” watching the fight game ? Because if they aren’t, the rest of us are getting our info sooner, from here or any other boxing website. That info is always old news by the time Lampley talks about it.

No, people didn't watch it because the card was horrible plus the promotion was even worst! Divison had nothing to do with it. I might have turned in if the promotion had some hype behind it.

plus i could tell it's pretty low budget compared to the previous superfly events.

They have to be consistent with the quality of their content otherwise superfly series will end in a premature death

I don't know why people worry so much about the ratings. Porter vs Garcia did over 600K, this fight was competing with that and a UFC card.
