AJ looked cautious and lacklustre against his last opponents because they were a step up in opposition than the bums and old men he normally fights.
Any fighter with a massive reach and height advantage has no need to be so cautious if they have a decent of boxing skills, but lets be real, AJs boxing skills are average and robotic, he relies heavily on having a massive reach and height advantage, and having judges and ref in his pocket.

Most HW’s when they hit you flush on the temple or chin, you will go down. It’s the nature of that division. But Povetkin doesn’t get that much credit for his power. It is often times over looked. He can crack. 19 out of 35 fights, opponents have been KO/TKO in 6 rounds or less, around 60%. In 10 fights, he TKO/KO his opponents in 3 rounds or less almost 30%. Overall he has 24 TKO/KO’s in 34 wins which is a 70%. And that was a brutal KO of David Price.

By comparison, Joshua’s TKO/KO percentages are much higher than Povetkin’s in 6 rounds or less or 3 rounds or less or overall. That’s why Joshua will probably win this fight. But saying Povetkin has a punchers chance, is an under statement. IF he lands and hurts Joshua, he can finish him effectively because he fundamentally puts his punches together better than the version of Wladimir at 41 years old that Joshua fought who was out of the ring over a year. But Joshua doesn’t really want to go toe to toe, ******. His chin isn’t granite or rock.

Bit unfair in respect of the Takam fight. Solid catch and counter stuff. Takam has one of the best roling defences and a chin so stuck around but was completely dominated. Parker was perhaps with an eye on Wilder and a ****ty ref.

Aquajuice (AJ) should win this fight. The only one that has a chance to beat him is Wilder. Hopefully Aquajuice will end up fighting him next year.

I agree +1200 was worth betting on. I like Sasha when he combos ending with that hook. Course he had that brutally ugly fight with Wlad. But he should get more chances with AJ. I’d be happy with anything but an ugly fight at this point. Everyone knew this fight was gonna happen. Almost hope AJ loses even if it does nothing for the sport except make promoters think twice about putting off the big ones.
