Remember when Thurman said he would "...take Cotto out!" ?

    2014.

Would the Cotto that took advantage of a crippled Sergio Martinez get handled by the Thurman that stopped Julio Diaz?

Yeah, I just saw that clip again (because Spence laughingly quoted Thurman's "don't duck me, son" at the Porter post-fight.)

I'd pick Thurman to outwork, overpower and possibly hurt Cotto in 2014. Maybe not to stop him, though. More likely a UD. Cotto is one tough mofo.

Althetic fighters who can half-way take a punch beat Cotto. Only person beating Thurman who's fought at 147 since 2014 is Eroll Spence

Canelo who is a huge dude and probably more powerful than thurman couldn’t KO cotto, so i highly doubt it.

Cotto still has a left in his tank in 2014. And I’ll be leaning towards him. He has the size advantage, power and probably better fundamentals.

That version of cotto beats Garcia better than thurman did as well.

Cotto would've mopped the floor with Queef.

Yea..the same way he mopped the floor with Trout. Athletic fighters with a jab give Cotto hell.

His reach is that of a 135 pounder, and his feet are slow.

Thurman would have won. He'd have used the Austin Trout gameplan.

Run Time isn't a big southpaw lol. And Cotto cut off the ring and touched up Floyd. Qweef would get hit and not like it. If a Collazo body shot hurt him ffs how do you expect him to handle a real puncher? Qweef had a hard time with Danny Garcia. If Danny Garcia puts you on a bike the better welterweights of the late 90's-early 2000's would've mopped the floor with him. But you're entitled to your opinion just like I am mine.

This thread aged well. So you're predicting a Manny win?
