I personally loved the fight. It was rugged and tactical at the same time. Porter was relentless and had better ring generalship. Even the rounds he lost, the fight still seemed to be going his way. I would love to see a rematch, but I know there is other business for Porter to take care of.

I like DSG, and he still have a lot of opportunities at 147. If he puts himself in a good spot porter rematch could happen soon.

Listen to you all writing Danny's obituary like he just got knocked out !!!
He just lost a decision in a very close fight that could have gone either way.
He does not need to go UP or DOWN.
Danny is fine and effective at 147.
His lose to Thurman was also a very close affair.
He will be fine. This is the fight game.
If the decision had gone his way, i guess this thread would have been an obituary about Porter.
He just needs time off and plot his next move.

If he wants to stay within the Showtime family, then fight Mikey Garcia or Adrien Broner! Ugas ain't nothing to play with! Jaron "Boots" Ennis should fight Ugas! Berto should fight Ugas! Devon Alexander should fight Ugas! Danny Garcia...nah!
Ugas seems technically sound but nothing special.
I'll put my money on Danny to beat him every day of the week including twice on Sunday!!

I'd like to see Danny Garcia find his way over to the WBO and Terrence Crawford. Crawford beat him in the amateurs (Mikey Garcia too), but that would be an excellent matchup for Danny at this point. It would also add a lot of credibility to Crawford as a welterweight, depending on how he handles Danny. An excellent matchup if it can be made.
Porter turned out to be too fast for Swift even though it was close. Porter's feints were also very problematic for Danny.

He can possibly get a rematch with Thurman in first half of 2019, or there are other options for lucrative pay days...rematch Khan, Brook, Broner, and possibly even Mikey Garcia or Pac who he turned down $4M to fight a few years back. Both of his losses were narrow and close, so he's still in it. Moving to 154 is a bad idea.
It's also got the intrigue of the first fight: Khan boxing Garcia's ears off till he came unstuck with that blind swing.
Decent money as well. The fans win, and they both get a chance to redeem sub par efforts last weekend.

I loved the fight. Shawn Porter is one of my favorite fighters. Dude is relentless and fearless. He treated Garcia like his b*tch in there.
I know a lot of people get mad at his style, but he's a little guy who's regularly gotta get in there with guys who are bigger than him and forces them to fight for their lives in there.
As for Danny Garcia, he's reached his limit. He would be the king at 140 right now, but he's too big to make it anymore. He's not a real player at 147 and never was.
He's not as good as Thurman, Spence, Porter, or Crawford.
He's basically a gatekeeper now.

154 not at world level. Like maybe trout. At 147 I think it's a wrap for him at the top level. He's not beating any title holder. Idk if he can beat Manny with his movement. We gotta see him in his return fight. I would love to see Garcia vs Horn. Horn is another person's who struggled with weight.
