Last time I checked he fought Algieri who didn’t win a single round against a 35 yr old pacquiao and got KD 6 times in the process, while Khan who was 28 at that time, at the prime of his life couldn’t even drop him and won in a close fight.
I don’t think at any point in their actual career timelines that Khan can beat those atgs, and I don’t at any point as well that he did anything to deserve a shot against them.
Maybe now or the last few years as those 2 are in the twilight of their careers yet Khan won’t still be favored against them. That’s the sad truth. You must have been persuaded by Khan’s constant cringeworthy talks.

When Khan was at his best during the Zab, maidana, kotelnik run.
Pac was beating up cotto, clottey, and margarito.
Seriously, you think Khan would have done well during that time?
Maybe if it’s a fantasy fight like Prime Khan vs 40 yr old manny then he could win by a decent percentage.

And it’s funny because Khan is just 31 now, and he’s a laughing stock in boxing while those atgs are number 1 and 2 p4p during those times.
A 31 yr old should be able to beat a 40 yr old. But Khan wouldn’t even be favored. lol
Any decent gym anywhere in the world knows Khan is top level boxer, you talk like only one level of boxing makes boxing, it’s a very ignorant view of the sport. I’m on no campaign to make Khan popular, I’m the first to admit he does dumb ass stuff outside the ring, but he beat Maidana who Floyd entertained twice, he is far better than Berto, who Floyd danced with for an easy pay day. People act like he never had place to call these guys out but he was no worse than some of their opponents.

If he fights Pac in his next fight, it won’t be one sided, the kid can box, but the reason he isn’t going to be a great is because he never had stamina, he never accepted he doesn’t have a chin and can’t brawl, instead of boxing behind one of the fastest jabs in boxing. He couldn’t adapt well to styles cos he just isn’t that intelligent. But act like he never had a thing and wasn’t a top class boxer makes you either a hater or you just know nothing about boxing.

Kahn would get peppered ( and most likely fold like a lawnchair) by Pacquiao much like Matthysse did. I would say I'd like to see this matchup just to retire kahn, but thurman and crawford want soft touch fights and Kahn wiuld be the perfect sacrificial lamb to feed to them.

Khan getting up of the canvas is just getting boring now.

He should not be rewarded for talking his way into a paycheck only end up on his a$$.

His credibility has been slipping further with every fight he had had since Garcia.

He should just fight Brook, get paid and disappear into the Bolton slum from whence he came.

YES. He used to be good when he was up and coming. He looked like the next big thing at some point, BUT during those streaks Pac and Floyd were miles ahead as well. Would you rather fight him instead of cotto margarito marquez or mosley during those times??
After Danny Garcia he didn’t do anything of note. And that was 6 years ago. His ring performances just couldn’t flat out compete with his delusions of grandeur it’s nearly damn impossible to like the dude.
Maidana is his biggest win, and it’s not even gonna be included in Floyd’s top 10.

I’m not a hater, there is just nothing much to like to a guy who talks a lot but never was able to back it up with their performances.
Even against a mediocre vargaz he even had the nerve to say “oh i could’ve finished this guy but i needed the rounds” like WTF man!!!

Floyd fought berto when he was like 39. Khan is 31 right now, and im sure as hell berto has some good chance to put him to sleep like everyone else’s.

I certainly do hope 40 yr old manny fights him next so we can be done with his delusions of grandeur they’re cringeworthy to listen to.

But guess what he’ll say after that???
          Probably something like;
“If Pac fought Floyd the way he fought me, he would’ve knocked him out as well” lol
And that won’t be the worst thing we’ve heard

For ffs he doesn’t even want none of brook his excuses are pure BS, and here you are supporting the dude

I’m not supporting the dude, I’m a boxing fan and the Vargas fight was entertaining and almost all of Khan’s fights at entertaining. Even the one sided David vs Goliath when he fought Canelo was fun for a few rounds as he stung Canelo with his speed, that was one of those where he showed his biggest asset and then quickly followed it up by demonstrating his worst trait, lack of concentration.

I don’t think we’ll ever agree that a fight with Pac is a good match up, I believe it will be a fun to watch.

Kell yeah, I see it different to most, you have to understand the history of this one. Kell and Khan were Jnr amateurs coming up around the same. They are from kind of rival towns in UK, fairly close together and heard about each other as kids. They never fought because Amir was a level above Kell and in the seniors Kell didn’t box much at all, so Khan went on to be an Olympian and so on, so he literally left small town Kell standing and went and made it as a top Amateur. Fast forward a few years and Kell is calling out Khan and understandably was like ‘who’s he to be calling me out, I’m an Olympian this guy didn’t do the hard yards’.
Kell then went on to prove himself in the pro’s but also got a fair bit bigger size wise than Khan. So they weren’t exactly natural opponents anyway. I think this all comes back to a point of pride and a lack of real desire on Khan’s part for this match up, plus their opposing managers didn’t help for years. Neither of them ever really tried too hard to make it happen either.

Fair enough. I just can’t stand the dude. I used to support him when he was up and coming. He didn’t really talk a lot of nonsense back then.
Now his blindness and delusions, paired with mediocre performances are just too much for a logical fan.

For someone who keeps getting wobbled and got knocked out 3 times, you’ll expect some form of humility but it just keeps getting worse.

Let’s admit it Vargas is a C-level fighter, and that performance is a good parameter to where Khan is currently at. And to most, he looked awful.. after all that talked that his sparring partners are better lol.
I don’t know how you graded his performance. Either you’re too high on Khan or too high on Vargas if you were impressed.

Right now I do not know which one would I like to kill his ego once and for all. If it’s brook then it absolutely ends him since he always rated himself higher than brook, now there would be no delusions.
If its pac, then it ends his delusions and slap to him that he was no where close to pac/floyd during their primes since he couldn’t even beat a 40 yr old version of one.

              Very tricky choice.

Vargas was a step up from Greco. So, I rated him a 5.5/10 so not really high on him. I’d love to see him against Pac, Brook and Garcia again. He’s likely lose to one or all of them but i’d watch those fights.

The thing about boxing is you got to ignore the hype to enjoy it for a long time, I sense I got some years on you, it’s great young fans are still into the sport, but my advice is to take very little notice of the trash talk, these guys know that hero’s and villains draw fans, Khan used to be a hero, now he’s a villain. But they don’t believe most of the stuff they say, it’s just for the headlines.

I’ve been watching since I was 10. It has been 16 yrs already, 9 years in this forum and I haven’t heard or researched anyone as delusional as this guy in the history of the sport. You can see here that he is constantly being clowned and that’s for a good reason. And it’s very very hard not to notice that.
Prime Floyd talked bs. Prime Ali talked bs. Prime tyson talked BS. But none of them ever talked as unproportional to their ring performances than Khan period. I’ll be really glad if you can name me one fighter more delusional than Khan.

It’s good that you’re sorting all the BS out, but if it’s falling for Khan’s hype and talks then that’s something else.

I honestly think Khan doesn’t really accept in him that he has a weak chin. His arrogance and delusions of grandeur prevents him from accepting his flaws and get better from there. Once he accepts that, he’ll tighten his defense. He’ll throw less flashy moves, and focus more on substance. He will then learn to clinch and many more.

But nope he will never accept that.
