    Forget The Boxrec Rankings

look, by now its obvious that the rankings in boxrec are ridiculously flawed.

at first vitali was the #1 HW, then for some unknown reason, it was byrd. wlad TKOs byrd and now wlads the #1 HW. heres where it goes bad: valuev beats beck by TKO3 and for some reason he gets the #1 slot. and when brock beats ibragimov, hes #1 now. dont you think that his pattern is that of a system that is horribly managed?

the all time rankings are flawed, too. the top 20 HWs of all time contain ezzard charles at #3, rid**** bowe at 9, jimmy bivins at 11, lennox lewis at 12, wlad klitschko at 14, eddie machen at 15, primo carnera, michael moorer, and ernie terrell at 18, 19, and 20. most of the recently mentioned fighters have no place at all in the top 20 HWs of all time. chris byrd is ranked higher than jack dempsey for christ's sake!

as im typing this, some fighters in the current top 25 (i have no idea why its 25) p4p rankings are as follows: nicolay valuev, calvin brock, sam peter, juan diaz, johnny gonzalez, sechew powell, isaac hlatshwayo, chad dawson, and roman karmazin. now, some of these fighters are indeed very good. but why they hold any p4p rankings is beyond any rational thought.

in conclusion, everyone knows that the boxrec rankings are bull****. theres not need to continually point that out by complaining how "this fighter is ranked this on boxrec". im showing how flawed the rankings are and i am asking you people this: stop complaining and posting threads/posts about the boxrec rankings. its like reminding people that the sky is blue and 13 is more than 12.

We do also understand how Boxrec rankings work right? Not based on talent, moreso based on competition and who their competition fought and who that competition fought, etc. Of course that means nothing to about 75% of P4P rankers so it doesn't matter.

Boxrec is based on a point system fighters get a certain amount of points for every fight they win or lose, the better the opponent and challenger the more points you either recieve or lose, the worst the opponent the less or more

This is the correct answer and end of topic.

A machine tallies the points accumulated toward each respective fighter, and generates a rank based on that.

It's a machine's opinion as to who the best in the division is.
