High Altitude Training Does Not Age Well. Real Life Examples

Are there any high altitude training fighters who aged well?

Mosley and Oscar were done in their 30's.

Jackson WInklejohn's MMA gym's run is pretty much over. All their guys are done in their early to mid 30's.

The guys who hold up better in late age don't even engage in that high altitude ****. Hopkins, Foreman, Floyd, Lennox, Vitali etc

Are there any examples of high altitude fighters being great into their late 30's?

hell, basically anybody from mexico city. elevation in the city is 7000 feet and in the surrounding mountains it gets well over 10 and into the 12's and 14s. anybody who knwos mountains will understand just how high up i am talking about, 14000 foot peaks in north america have a name, 14ers, and are extremely rare.

tallest mountain in mexico is getting close to 20,000 feet high. it is an immensely mountainous place. much of south america is extremely mountainous. don't credit short careers from mexican fighters to altitude. credit it to the fact that even today they can start pro at 15 years old, and rarely clinch or retreat.

All fighters are done in their 30's. 32-34 your prime ends if you started at 18. Do the research. Altitude has nothing to do with anything.

Marquez trains at 12000 feet in the mountains on Mexico. That's almost twice the altitude of Big Bear where Oscar, Mosley and others trained. Marquez fought very well when he was in his late 30s. Mosley lasted as long as most boxers do. Oscar by his own admission did not take good care of himself. News flash for you. Most boxers are done by their mid 30s no matter if they train in the mountains or at sea level FFS. Why do you think Leonard was finished at 33 and Ward and Bradley retired at 33. They did no high altitude training. You are trying to prove that high altitude training shortens careers but you are wrong. If it was harmful pro athletes from many other sports and boxers would not do it but they continue to do so. I think they are correct and you are wrong.
