crawford (supposedly the p4p number 1) is fighting the world number 27 and people are saying its a good fight.... good grief. im not even sure wade was ranked that low in his division. He could fight someone with no arms and no legs and you guys would still say its a good fight, the bias on here is something else.Comment

Look at the last two guys Spence fought. Bum city. Weight drained Brook is his only good win.Comment

I'm not crazy about this fight but Crawford has more than proven himself. Time will tell if he doesn't fight one of the top WW's but for now I give him a pass. On the other hand, Benavidez challenged him in a very public way. He couldn't let that slide.Comment

He's a victim of his own being so talented, so well rounded and so dominant that the bar is raised in a strange way. He cleaned out 135 beating the #1, 2 & 3 in addition to beating the #1 from 130. He won EVERY belt at 140 and he's been largely fighting cats his age. Benavidez is a hungry, undefeated, former world champion. I like that kind of opponent rather than a used up "name".
Resume has became so much about the name of a fighter these days and not the situation/circumstances etc;Comment

A bit of a crap fight imo but I can understand the reasons behind that.
Hopefully Thurman comes back soon, Garcia and Porter give us a clear winner (no rematch) and we might see Spence and/or Crawford in a decent fight.
I'm not a fan of Crawfords resume at all, he needs some big fights at WW culminating in him vs Spence for the No.1 spot.
Crawford is obviously an elite talent and this is clearly a stay busy fight but he needs bigger better fights after this, even Khan would be a step up from this guy.Comment

A pattern I seem to notice on these forums - it seems the posters on here are always content with the fights they get from Arum and Top Rank. I see mostly positive comments for even average at best fights and even fighters.
In contrast, anything PBC/Showtime related gets slandered and plagued by negativity for some reason, especially the fighters themselves.
I'm simply wondering, why is this? What is so much more likable by Arum and Top Rank? I've always thought his quality of fights and cards are undoubtedly worse, personally.
That has not happened considering boxing has never needed to be saved and the only thing they changed was the corny entrances and some fighters getting in the ring less. Other than that, pbc has been like any other company. They have put out some garbage fights and good to great fights.Comment

not proven fully in my eyes at all. youve got to prove these things people cant just say hes the best welterweight based on eye test (i know u didnt say that but others have), youve got to prove it. this isnt fantasy boxing, its real life. we simply dont know how he'd do against top opposition cause hes never been in there with one. Rigondeaux looked like a million dollars and was a top 5 fixture in the p4p list until he actually had to prove it against loma. Different scenarios but people place WAY too much emphasis on how good fighters look beating scrubs.Comment
