Much smaller. He's sweaty, with a pump, and under perfect down-lighting to try to look as ripped and big as possible. It's basically like a photo-shoot. He's smaller but it still doesn't mean much. Could be strategy. He's capable of boxing GGG to death if his gas tank holds up. HUGE if.

He looks better than ever. Going off hus instagram, he looks super impressive. Not sure ive ever seen anyone hate on a guys physique like this before.
People saying he looks smaller/weaker really need to get a hold of themselves.
He beefed up for the Chavez fight and has kept humself in shape in between this fight which isnt usual. Last time he looked this good was probably Liam Smith at 54 but even then he’s far more impressive right now.
Looks like he tapered down and kept himself at an optimal weight without worrying too much on the bulking aspect. He’ll be faster and sharper than ever. Will that help taking a flush GGG shot? Probably not. But look to him being a better, faster, busier version of himself from last fight. Likewise for GGG.
Canelo looks impressive as f uck man.
You want crazy difference in physiques go look to Ubereem/Overeem and Vitor and all those guys.
Canelo is a dude in his 20s who realistically has no need for clen. I could see if he was missing weight at 60, or even 54...
Did he use? Maybe. Probably not clen and its probably some great s hit like most top fightersLast edited by NearHypnos; 09-04-2018, 04:29 PM.

If his punch resistance holds up (A BIG IF) he's doing the right thing by coming in light. He had to supply oxygen to fuel the extra weight he carried. It really didn't help him because he couldn't hurt Golovkin and he ran out of gas. He needs to stay off the ropes, use lateral movement to open up punching angles and then get out. Don't wait so long between offensive attempts.
He can't give away big portions of each round due to inactivity.

This is funny because if Canelo looked thick now and ripped last year they would STILL say, "Look what happens when he's not on PEDS!!" He's soft now!
I think the #1 reason he needs to be lean now is that he had a mediocre output in the last fight. He can't get away with that again, and his team knows it. He's gotta have his cardio on-point this time.
