Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: I'd Fight Loma, But I've Heard Nothing From Them

Some of you must not really follow boxing as much as you claim. People saying Mikey has been using Spence's name to get attention and now backing out and trying to fight someone else.I guess most of you aren't aware that Showtime and Espinoza have already said that they wouldn't be doing Spence/Mikey this year on PPV with Fury/Wilder taking that spot. Showtime has already said they will move it to 2019. Mikey wants to fight one more time this year so he's gonna take on the best opponent available. In other threads people were claiming Mikey is scared to of Loma but now that he mentions him everyone here be protecting Loma, saying he isn't ready and just came of surgery. Everyone who actually follows boxing knows that a Loma/Mikey fight will be hard to make because Arum expects a fighter to accept his offers and fight on his terms. Which might work with lower tier fighters but not top tier fighters that are backed by a network.

Some guys on here just commit their lives to hating on top fighters that aren't from North America, I really don't get it when they hate on Usyk as well.

Most the people that hate on Usyk haven't seen him fight or watched the Gassiev fight only. They've dismissed him because of where he's from and/or just dismissed the (very talented and entertaining) cruiserweight division. Now with that win he's accomplished something huge he's getting some heat for it.

The mind boggles.

There was a poster on here who started a thread about how Bivol ****** (in response to Jack dropping his belt) and about being over hyped due to being white etc; somebody posted a picture of Bivol and the OP poster was like "who the **** is that?". I'll have to try and find the thread it's hilarious and proof that a large number of those posters just write a guy off due to where he comes from more that what he can and does do in the ring.

I like Mikey, he has a good head on his shoulders BUT if I were him I would stay away from the whole Errol situation being that Errol is the bigger man & is chopping these dudes down. Mikey needs to call bub arum's bluff like Rigo (shame on you Rigo for NOT fighting....) did with lomo to get a fight. The only problem would be the networks....

39 fights, over ten years as a pro and I still cant remember a great win on this clown's resume! Which one was it? a Salidoe? a Adrien Broner? a Lipinets? a Robert Easter jr? "peeleft:

Lipinets is tough as nails and probably gave mikey the toughest fight of his career. So let’s not marginalize everyone.

Outside of dominating lipinets, his resume is nothing stellar.
Or is it an old case of Mikey being so good that he makes some really good fighters look below average ?
